Great hunk of Fordite, layered paint from auto factories. This stuff’s pretty much all tapped out so what’s on the market is all that’s left. Makes cool cabs but it would be a shame to cut up such a pretty piece. This to me is the pinnacle of industrial refuse as art. Lots of great stuff in this world and it’s getting rarer as more factories are destroyed or renovated or whatever. But this encrustation that feels so natural is also so alien in it’s crazy coloration. It’s like a rock that we accidentally made. But also so much better. Beautiful mistake.
